Clean Decklid Surface
Make sure to thoroughly clean the surface of the car where you are installing the decal with warm soapy water. Make sure your decklid is free of any dirt, grease or other debris.
We also recommend wiping the area where the decal is to be applied with rubbing alcohol to remove any grease or grime that may be left after cleaning the surface with warm soapy water.
Mist Decklid With Water
Using a water-filled misting bottle, thoroughly spray down the decklid area where the decal will be applied.
Prep The Decal
Carefully remove the decal from the paper backer, as not to accidentally fold it or create any creases.
Note: Do not get the back paper of the decal wet. If you do get it wet the paper will stick to the decal and no longer be usable.
Mist Back of Decal
Turn over the decal and thoroughly spray down the tacky side of the decal with the mist sprayer.
Align Decklid Decal
Carefully lay the decal in place on your decklid. To make installation easier it is good to use the left and right points of the decal as your alignment/starting points. See A2 in the image.
Make sure the decal is aligned properly before starting to squeegee the decal.
Squeegee Out Water & Bubbles
From the center of the decal outward squeegee out any bubbles and water. Always work from the center of the decal to the outside of the decal. This will make the process easier and faster.
Install License Plate
You can now install your license plate and enjoy.
